Goodbye Lag and Farewell Freezes!
Hello, Donefus community!
We know that some of you have been facing a rather annoying issue recently: severe freezes (those lag spikes lasting up to 22 seconds causing a timeout) during certain actions, like gathering resources or changing maps. We listened to your feedback, dove deep into the game engine, and bring great news! The issue has been completely isolated and fixed in today's update.
What was happening?
Whenever your character gained something, the server tried to perform a "full save" (scanning your entire inventory, bank, spells, and quests) on the game's main thread. As the server grows, this created a bottleneck, freezing your screen while the database processed everything.
The Solution
We restructured the server's saving architecture! Now, the system is smart and split into two parts:
Fast Save: During gameplay, the server saves only the essentials (your position, map, and health) instantly and in the background. You won't feel absolutely any lag!
Full Save: The heavy and complete scan of your inventory and bank now happens 100% safely only when you log out of the server.
Summary of Improvements:
✅ End of Freezes: Delays and disconnects due to timeouts have been eliminated. Progression is now seamless!
⚡ Faster Server: Without the burden of saving inventories every second, the server's response time is much lighter, faster, and smoother for all players simultaneously.
????️ Secure Economy: This new structure ensures that the server's economy remains shielded, keeping your items and kamas saved accurately, with no risk of data corruption or loss.
We greatly appreciate your patience and the reports that helped us make Donefus even better and faster for everyone.
